My daughter is in the Character Club in her online school and has been given an assignment to do something nice for another person. She was given a few web sites to look at and after looking over them, they touched my heart so deeply that I had to pass them on. After reading some of these stories..... how can you not want to do something special for them.
First is http://www.colorasmile.org/ Kids can color pictures and mail them in to be given to nursing homes and meals on wheels.
Second is http://www.makeachildsmile.org/ Kids can color pictures and email children that are sick. Some of these children are terminally ill.
Third is http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html Kids can pick a picture, a message and email them to our troops overseas.
Take the time to check these sites out..... Put someone else first. You will be glad you did. :)
