Rain, Rain go away!!!!

For those of you who do not live in middle Georgia......Would you like some of our rain!!!! We have had so much rain in the last week that the unfinished part of our basement has sprung leaks!!! Thankfully they were caught before the water reached the wall to the finished part where our carpet is!

For the last 3 hours I have been vacuuming up water with our NEW shop vac! We do a little school then break for water pick up (as the kids call it!) It has been a wild day so far. Now if only my back yard would stop washing away!!!

So, As I said in my Title..... Rain, Rain, go away... come again when we need it so bad in the summer!!!!!

Hope you stay dry today my friends!!!

I live in NW Georgia and I am sick of it, too! I guess it will be nice for sleeping tonight, but I'd like it to be gone by when I wake up!

Hi there.
Stopping by from MBC to say hello.
Enjoyed your post! Rain sure beats snow :)

Oh dear! Reminds me of the flooding we had here last summer. Thought we might need a canoe to get to the hospital if I went into labor before it cleared up! Glad you caught it before it was too bad and have a shop vac to clean it up. Blessings to you - and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thanks for your sweet comments :)
I agree about the rain, we also have a wonderful leak in our unfinished portion of the basement! Good times! Hopefully we will not experience anything like last June when our city (and so many others) flooded! Luckily we did not suffer in that, but so many did! We have possible snow flurries here! Welcome Spring ;)

I hope it does go away, or at least stops and takes a break :) Well, for one thing, your kids will know how to use a shop vac.

I'm glad you saved your carpet! Yikes!
