The Dog Days of Summer

We have a house guest this week!

Meet Scout. His is my Brother's little dog. Each summer we get to "dog sit" while his family goes to the beach for their vacation. My kids look so forward to his visit. He loves to chase a ball and chase our cat! He will be staying with use until next Saturday.

Isn't he cute!

Annalee loves to take Scout for a walk on his leash and he loves looking out the front window and barking like a mad dog! Right now he is laying on my feet as I type. He is tooo cute!

We will keep you posted on his visit!!!

Who's coming over, Mom?

That's the question I always get when I start my major cleaning projects. Especially when I tell my daughter to clean her room. For some reason in my delusional mind I thought that girls were suppose to keep cleaner rooms than boys. Not the case here at the Scarbary Estate. My son's room is always picked up with everything in its place. My daughter, well lets put it this way......I can't get the vacuum in her room. I just shut the door. She will get in kicks were she will clean it spotless and then 1-2 days later , BAM, back to shutting the door. I keep praying that one day she will realize it is a total disaster and change her ways!!!! Oh, well.
I am doing a whole house cleaning over the next few weeks. It is really depressing to me to see how dirty our house is.... but we do live in it!! I started with the kitchen yesterday and cleaned baseboards and windows. More of it today and the rest of the house later.
Wish me luck!!!!!

Josh's 14th Birthday

Yesterday was my son's 14th Birthday and we had a blast. First we dropped Annalee off at softball camp and went to Game Stop. Josh has been wanting the Wii Zelda game for some time and it ain't cheap honey!!! He was so excited! Unfortunately, it rained all day and we did not get to go swimming like he wanted to. Instead, we met Daddy for dinner at Josh's favorite restaurant, Zaxbys. Afterwards, we picked up an Dairy Queen Cookies and Cream ice cream cake and went home and chowed down! He really enjoyed playing his new game and said that was all he wanted!

Here is a picture recap......

All he really wanted for his Birthday

With my son's birthday today and my daughter's being last week I thought about this song and thought that I would share it with you. You might remember my blog about the 4Him tickets my son won several years ago. Mark Harris was one on the members of the 4him group that decided to go solo. He is a wonderful singer and song writer. This was the song he sang that night at the concert and I cried like a baby ( I still do everytime I hear it). It is such a powerful prayer for a parent and a sweet reminder of how fast they grow up! I hope you enjoy it and be warned...... you WILL need a tissue! :)

My Baby Boy is 14!

Today is another big day at the Scarbary house! My baby boy is 14 today! He is my first born and has been a pure joy. I had such an easy pregnancy and labor with him. My water broke at 6:30 a.m and he was delivered at 9:20 a.m. We did not find out what we were having but I knew in my heart the it was a boy! He was such a happy baby and never fussed much at all. My husband and I knew we wanted to use my husband's name, Dean, didn't have a clue about another name. We came up with Joshua from the Bible during a sermon one Sunday morning. We loved the way is went together.... so we have Joshua Dean. Here are a few pictures of my baby boy over the years.....

Happy 14th Birthday Josh! I am so proud of you! You are turning into a young man right before my eyes! I have enjoyed watching you grow from a little baby boy to the young man you are today! I am so proud of how hard you worked in school this year. My prayer for you is that you will continue to grow in your love for your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Thank you for being such a sweet young man! It is a honor to be your Mom! I love you Joshie!

Test

I have found a new photo editing site that I am playing around with.... This is a test!!!

Birthday Photo Shoot

I love to take pictures, especially pictures of my kids. I decided to get out my old Canon and try it out. On Annalee's 10th birthday, we headed to the local photo spot and took some great pictures. I think they turned out okay considering I am by not means a pro! I wanted to share them with you.

It's official!

We are finally out for the summer! My kids worked so hard this year and Momma is sooooo ready for a break! We plan on spending many day's at my mother-in-law's pool.
This week is Annalee's softball camp. When I picked her up today at 12:00 it was so HOT! She is having a ball though. She loves softball.
I have several projects planned for the beginning of summer. A lot of things have been put on the "back burner" around the house so hopefully I will be able to tackle some of them!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Happy Monday friends!
